The goal of the shelter is a simple one – to find loving homes for pets brought to us, or find the owners of lost animals. Achieving this goal, with any margin of success, is not so simple. Hard work and money to feed, to address medical needs and to house the animals until they can be placed in caring homes requires money and a great deal of hard work. Hopefully for most, the shelter means a new lease on life in a new home with a caring family. The shelter is only half of the solution. The other half of the solution is composed of dedicated volunteers, sponsors and most importantly, adoptive families. To combat the on-going dilemma of abandoned and neglected pets, we must also strive to educate the public on the intelligent and humane treatment of animals.
